About the job

We are seeking a dedicated Data Engineer to join our team. The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems. This role requires collaboration with our Data Scientist and Senior Back-End Developer to ensure seamless data integration and optimization.

About you

Responsibilities​

Data Architecture Development:

  • Designed, constructed, installed, tested, and maintained highly scalable data
    management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.

Data Pipeline Construction:

  • Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
  • Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools
    into existing structures.

Data Storage and Processing:

  • Implement systems for big data in a cloud environment.
  • Optimize data retrieval and develop dashboards, reports, and other
    visualization tools.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to ensure optimal data delivery architecture.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to integrate systems and data effectively.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Lead data-related projects and initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the team’s development.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Java, Scala, etc.).
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban,
    Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude.
