You’ll build and scale up our measurement apps, developed on Kotlin Multiplatform for shared logic while maintaininging a native Android layer. You’ll also contribute to the backend systems that power them. You will work with the latest technologies, contribute to innovations no other company has built, and enjoy the pace and excitement of an ambitious deep-tech company.
About you
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android mobile applications using Kotlin Multiplatform, Coroutines, LiveData, Compose MVVM and ViewModels.
- Build features across Kotlin Multiplatform shared logic and platform-specific native layer (Android), and collaborate on Play Store releases
- Take end-to-end ownership of features across the full stack – from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Work independently and take ownership of features, from design through deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams (eg. UX/ UI design team).
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical improvement within a team that embraces Scrum principles and delivers efficiently.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and usability across our mobile applications.
- Proactively identify, debug, and resolve issues to ensure stable and reliable releases.
Qualifications
Skills and experience
- Proven expertise in Kotlin (Android), and Java, building and optimizing mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM), platform best practices, clean code principles, and scalable application design.
- Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform and shared mobile business logic.
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (experience with AWS is an advantage).
- Understanding of API design, data structures, and scalable system architecture.
- Strong grasp of performance optimisation, concurrency, and reliability across mobile and backend systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, accountability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, independence and teamwork.
- Bonus: Experience with Java and/or Kotlin backend development (Spring Boot), SQL databases, iOS development, Kafka, Terraform, Elasticsearch, or other cloud, analytics, and search technologies.
